NYAHAHAHAHA.
~
I’m dying to blog about the free skating for the ladies but that would mean hours of picture hunting and double-checking the terms and uploading pictures and editing the post and all, which means I have no time because I am at journal number 10. Pathetic. Seriously pathetic. I didn’t know that they were… quite long.
Anyway, we had guests over today and naturally I have to help my mum out. Plus, I was allowed to watch Vancouver 2010 for 3 hours! Total happiness man. You cannot believe the amount of times I was grinning at the telly as if it would grin back at me. I loved Mao Asada! If it weren’t for the few minor stumbles, I’m sure she’d have a clear chance to knock Kim Yu-Na off 1st place. But I’m happy that Yu-Na got 1st, she truly deserved it! And Mao got 2nd. I wanted Mirai Nagasu to place third but Joannie Rochette from Canada got the bronze for some reason but at least she did skate pretty decently.
The Russian skaters this time weren’t that awesome but quite good, it would be fun to watch them ‘grow’ to be better skaters. After all, my favourite skater is Russian :D I also loved Rachel Flatt (US) and her costume was the nicest – sweet and simple, Cheltzie Lee (Aust) who had the one of the most secured spins, Akiko Suziki (Japan) and Alena Leonova (Rus) are those to watch out for in the future and Laura Lepisto (Fin) was surprisingly good.
Miki Ando (Jap) placed fifth overall with her clean and almost-prefect routine and I didn’t really enjoy it though, maybe because there wasn’t that much ‘feel’ to it. Honestly, I found it boring and mechanical. But technically, she was amazing.
Mao Asada (Japan, go Japan wooo hoooo your skaters rockkk), Kim Yu-Na (Korea), Joannie Rochette (Canada).

I really wished that Irina S. competed! Or at least Sasha Cohen, I don’t fancy her but she’s really, really good too. Anyway, it was fun watching the new generation of young skaters out there! Their talents are beyond amazing. Mao is definitely my new favourite singles skater, but Irina is still the best!

So before I start rambling about skating, I better log off and continue journal summarising. Then I need to sleep and continue studying and wake up SUPER early in the morning to study again. I hope I get to watch the gala exhibition, it will be on a Sunday (and the following day is finals!). I want to watch Pang & Tong again, oh love love love is ice-skating!
I hope that I can go skating on Wednesday, since my paper is finishing late on Tuesday. I need to see Dr L about her study anyway so I might as well head on to Pyramid to satisfy my skating desires :P Who wanna go with me? Nobody?
How long have I not skated? Three months? Sangap gila you.
Tsk.
xoxo,
ChiRa
