Cookie Monster says HI Y’ALL!

Today, I’m gonna blog a totally irrelevant post because I’m just ITCHING to blog about mindless stuffs and since yesterday was Sesame Street’s 40th Anniversary, I want to share my devotion to Cookie Monster with you readers out there.

Cookie Monster is so cute. He’s my most favourite SS character in the world. Second would be Bert & Ernie.

Christmas Cookie! Oh by the way, I can’t wait for Christmas! I absolutely LOVE anything festive! And I get presents! Who doesn’t love presents?

Cookie Monster Pez. I wonder if they’re sold here. When I was young and stayed in Singapore for a while, my relatives used to get me Pez all the time. Tastes goooood :)

Cookie Monster Flashlight. Yes, I’ve made up my mind that I am not going to do anything academic-related tonight. Anyway, IP tutorial tomorrow will be about personality tests! I can’t wait for that too.

Cookie Monster address book. Fuzzy! When I was teaching at my aunt’s kindy, I had this student who had this PINK fuzzy diary her dad got her from Dubai. I was trying to act cool and took a look at it without being overly-excited because I’ve done that before and the kids just stared at me in fear disbelief.

Cookie sweater! I prefer it without the word ‘Cookie’ there. A bit of a sore eye.

Cookie shorts. Which I WILL get, if I see them around. Which I have not.

BOO.

OH yeah, currently SS has changed Cookie Monster’s eating habits to be more ‘healthier’ and makes him eat veggies and fruits.

I mean, COME ON, he is COOKIE MONSTER! Not Veggie/Fruittie Monster. They should create a Green or Orange monster (respectively) if they want to create like a public health awareness thingamajig.

At least he’s not Candy Monster or Junkie Monster. Cookies are fine!

The Class : (stares at ChiRa too)

C : Uhh.. (nervous)

TL : I’m sorry! I had to look! There are two pinks here! (referring to me and Nanko sitting behind)

The Lecturer : I went to see my lecturer. Don’t use parallelism.

Archshanaa : Is it ‘I went to saw my lecturer’? Cannot be right?

The Class : HAHAHAHA.

(Discussing about SPSS questions and the dataset)

Dataset and questions 1 – About handphone usage time and size of brain tumours.

The Lecturer : Wah use more than 5 hours a day until it’s burnt (referring to handphone usage of 5 hours and above).

TL : (about no usage at all) What’s the point of having a handphone if you don’t use? Don’t call? OH nevermind! Wait for your friend to call!

D & Q 2 – Amount of soya bean products consumed and men’s sperm count.

TL : Find the means and standard deviation of sperm count for each soya bean product group. (pause) What a sensitive question! Don’t get offended ya, boys!

ChiRa : (talking to Vignesh)

Frrh : (grabs Chi’s hands and stroke it against her arm) I got scales.

C : Uhm.

(Discussing ANOVA [I think] questions about pigeons and pecking rates)

Nigel & David : What is null hypothesis?

Vignesh : Pigeons will peck faster blablabla.

The Lecturer : Okay the null hypothesis is ‘there is no difference’.

David : (turns around) Why you lie to me?

V : OI.

Nigel : (turns around) Why you lie to me?

V : What?! Another one?!

During Research Methods lecture :

(Discussing take-home assignment)

Someone : (asks David a question about RM)

(David answers)

Someone : How you know?

D : (hand gestures) I had a revelation!

During RM lecture also :

(David scored 23/30 for the graded assignment for the coursework and it was one of the highest. Vigs scored 21.5 while Nigel & I got 20.5)

Nigel : Very Godly.

Vigs & Chi : Huh? What does that mean?

N : Means that David is God.

(David asked a question about the said RM take-home assignment and Vignesh started to explain)

Chi : If David is God and he doesn’t know it and Vignesh is explaining about it to David, then, what is Vignesh?

Nigel : (dramatic pause) Vignesh she.. She’s the God’s Mother.

Chi : HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

(I went to get some crackers to keep me awake)

David : Come la. Give me la. That thing is not good for your health. I rather suffer and eat it for you than let you suffer. Let me eat it lah. Not good for you.

TL : Yes. The past tense of think is thunk. No please don’t write that on your English paper.

TL : I jut got a heart attack because I got 45 slides today and I’m at slide 18.

Archy : but we’ve only 30 minutes left.

TL : Nevermind. I can do it!

Alex : Our ears are gonna burn!

TL : Yeah your ears are gonna burn.

I need to sleep badly! I’ve so manymanymany more assignments to do! And study!

At least I’ve blogged for this week. I don’t have to take time to blog again later.

I am too tired to blog tonight. So, I’m posting a few snippets for the past week that I can remember so that my blog is not that outdated. The reason why I’m tired is because I spent 8 hours plus worth of car rides from around 11am to 8pm today.

All we had to go are 2 destinations but we took so long because KL traffic is horrendous and my dad kept on taking the wrong turns so the way back is always blocked with road hoggers who hog the bloody roads.

And it started to rain and the area in Cheras was absolutely hard to navigate about when it was pouring like crazy and then the roads started to flood like public swimming road pools and we all had to seek refuge with the other 1001 cars/motorcycles in a petrol kiosk.

I love the smell of car petrol. Heaven.

Anyway, in the morning, we had to go to my parents’ friend’s daughter’s ‘cukur jambul’ ceremony and we were 2 hours late. And it was so hot, so I began to be all cranky and guzzled water like a fish.

Then the next couple of hours we went to my brother’s + mother’s friends’ house to visit them. The mom and son are both struggling with cancer but the guy is in first stage of liver cancer while the mom is the fourth (and last) stage of, if I’m not mistaken, colon/guts cancer.

It was really devastating and I was trying so hard not to cry by talking to him and his sister who was so friendly and gorgeous, taking pictures with them and snooping around their medication.

I don’t mean to be overly curious but I have a thing for medicine and pills. I just like looking at them and find out what they are or what they are for. And I love reading all those list of ingredients or dosage and boring stuffs like that.

OH well I’m sorry I’m not in the brightest of moods lately because of this and so many other things. I tend to get so warped into the emotions in my surroundings. It’s just who I am.

And recent stuffs have been effecting me as well.

But it’s not like I’m depressed or something! I’m feeling totally great with a tinge of sadness.

Last Thursday, Vignesh and I went to Pyramid after IP tutorial because I’ve been bugging her the past month. Originally, we were supposed to go ice-skating but spending 13 bucks on less than 2 hours of skating and shoulder pains from carrying heavy skates were not worth it!

Therefore, we went round wandering Pyramid instead.

I LOVE walking around with Viggy! I think she’s beginning to regret knowing me because frankly, I can’t stop talking when I’m on a roll and I DO try to stop when she starts looking bored and irritated.. But I can’t!

I’m so sorry!

I can’t wait for holidays to start this time. I’ve so much planned! And I’m really really REALLY looking forward to meeting up with Sabrina, Hazra, Amir, Bee Trice, Yasmin, Nana, Su Ching (and more I hope! *hint*Irene*hint*) again!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHH I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE YOU GUYS. I MISS YOUYOUYOUYOU!!

Viggy & Frrh, we are still gonna go out together okay!

I wish I can see Nabs though I know I can’t. I’d probably scream if we get a chance to talk to each other face to face, I think I won’t sleep for the whole day!

I know I’m suppose to study but I’m having TOO much fun playing SL and replying wall messages on FB.
